Let’s capture your story - beautifully.
Family photography in London and Surrey
THIS IS MORE THAN A PHOTOSHOOT
…it’s a moment to be together — and to remember how this season felt.
What’s a family session feels like
You’re living in a beautiful, fleeting season of family life — one that deserves to be remembered.
Family and motherhood sessions are calm and unhurried, shaped around real life as it unfolds. I work gently and intuitively, stepping in when it helps and stepping back when it matters most.
As a mother myself, I know how it feels to be in the middle of it all. Sessions are designed so you can stay present with your children, trusting that everything else is being taken care of.
Where sessions take place
Family sessions can take place:
Outdoors, at golden hour (sunrise or sunset) in carefully chosen locations around Richmond Park, Bushy Park or another spot that’s meaningful to you
In your home, where everyday life naturally unfolds
In my natural light studio in St Margarets, West London
Together, we’ll choose the setting that feels most natural for your family.
From first message to final gallery
From our first conversation to the moment you receive your gallery, I’ll guide you every step of the way.
This includes:
Planning and location advice
Styling support for the whole family
Gentle direction during the session
A thoughtful, hands-on editing process
Everything is designed to feel simple, supportive and considered — so you can just show up and enjoy your time together.
“We’ve had a few family photoshoots over the years, but this one felt completely different. From the moment we arrived, it just felt easy. Nothing was forced — the kids were playing, exploring, laughing… and Alina captured it all without interrupting the flow and was such a warm, reassuring presence.
I didn’t have to think or direct anything and could just be present with my kids which as a mum is such a gift. Even my husband relaxed into it and ended up getting fully involved, playing and laughing with the kids.
When we received the photos, I cried. They feel so true to us and are full of connection and love. I look at them every day because they show our family exactly as we are.”

“Our photoshoot with Alina is one of the most special memories we have as a family…
She was so friendly, professional, and made sure we felt comfortable throughout, taking the time to know us as family and helping us prepare for the shoot. Alina allowed the moments to unfold naturally whilst giving gentle guidance to help us get the results we wanted. We had the most amazing experience in beautiful Richmond Park. Alina’s kindness and gentle approach, especially with our baby, made all the difference. The final images are absolutely fantastic — we couldn’t be happier! I can’t recommend Alina highly enough. Thank you so much!”

FAQs
When do I book?
Maternity sessions – The best time is usually between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable.
Newborn sessions – babies can be captured in all their fresh newness in the first 2–3 weeks, but there are no firm rules. If you’d rather wait a little longer, that’s absolutely fine too. If the baby is early or late, there’s always room for wiggling.
Family sessions can take place anytime but for best availability, especially for sunset sessions in the warmer months, it is worth getting in touch 2-3 months in advance.
What time do the sessions take place?
Outdoor sessions – Shot at sunrise or sunset for the most beautiful light.
In-home sessions – Start at 10-11 am, when your home is filled with soft, natural light.
Studio sessions – Between 10 am and 2 pm, when the light is best in the studio.
What if we need to reschedule?
If someone is unwell, we can absolutely reschedule—no stress at all. Life happens, and I want you to feel your best and most comfortable for your session.
For outdoor sessions, if the weather doesn’t cooperate (rain, strong winds), we will work to find an alternative date, or move the session to the studio. I’ll always keep an eye on the forecast and be in touch if we need a backup plan.
Where is your studio?
Apple Grove Studio is a garden studio in St Margarets (TW1 postcode), easily accessible from Central and West London and Surrey. St Margarets, Twickenham and Richmond stations are all within walking distance. If you’re driving, there is a private car park at the studio.
Do you travel for sessions?
I offer in-home newborn sessions across London and love photographing families outdoors, especially in Richmond Park. Travel within 40 minutes from the studio is included—beyond that, there may be a small travel fee.
What if my baby doesn’t settle / my child doesn’t behave?
Newborn sessions are completely baby-led. There’s no rush, no pressure—we take our time, with breaks for feeding, cuddles, and settling. If your baby needs extra comfort, we simply pause and go with their rhythm.
For older children, please don’t worry—I’m a mum myself and have plenty of experience with little ones. The best thing to do is let kids be kids. Some of the most beautiful moments happen in the in-between—when they’re running, twirling, snuggling into you, or even having a quiet moment on their own. Sessions are designed to feel relaxed and natural, so there’s no need to stress if your child is a little wild or shy. We’ll go with their flow and capture them exactly as they are.
Do you provide outfits?
Yes! I have a collection of carefully curated pieces for mums, most of which are pregnancy and breastfeeding friendly. You’re welcome to use anything from my client wardrobe, and during your virtual consultation I also provide styling guidance so your whole family looks beautifully cohesive.
