As a Richmond family photographer, my sessions are calm and unhurried, shaped around real life as it unfolds - in Richmond Park, at home, or in my garden studio in St Margarets. I step in when it helps and step back when it matters. Some moments are full of movement and laughter; others are close and still. There's room for all of it.
As a mum myself, I know how it feels to be in the middle of it all. These sessions are designed so you can stay present with your children, trusting that everything else is taken care of.

Outdoors at golden hour - Richmond Park & Bushy Park
Most of my Richmond family sessions happen minutes from home - ancient woodland for black and white portraits, open meadows where the last hour of sun turns the grass gold, and softer, shadier spots for babies and warm days. We choose the corner that suits your children's ages and the time of year on your planning call. I photograph in the Royal Parks under licence.
In the garden studio
Cream tones, natural light, and a relaxed space away from home. Good for younger children and families who want a clean, timeless feel.
Family photoshoot at home - Richmond, Twickenham & West London
Where everyday life happens. I work with the light and the rooms you actually use. No need for a tidy house - just your family in your own space. Travel within 45 minutes of TW1 is included.

I’ll guide you from first message to final gallery
You don’t need to plan a thing. Here’s what’s included:
1. Planning consultation — We’ll talk through timing, location, styling, and the overall feel of your session.
2. Styling support — I’ll share guidance so your whole family looks cohesive, and you’re welcome to use pieces from my client wardrobe.
3. Your session — 60–90 minutes, calm and unhurried. I’ll gently direct while leaving space for real, unscripted moments.
4. Hand-finished images — Every image is finished individually in my film-inspired style. Nothing is batch-processed.
5. Your gallery — Ready within 30 days in a private online gallery, where you choose your ten and can add more or order prints and albums.

These are photographs made to be printed - many families add an album or framed print once they've seen the gallery.
WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS +£100
A note on timing. Most of my outdoor sessions happen midweek - the parks are quieter, and the after-school golden hour is the best light of the day. Weekday dates are £595. I keep a small number of weekend dates each month (+£100), and they tend to go first.
Once your gallery is ready you can add The Full Story (the complete gallery) or order prints and albums - there's nothing to decide before you've seen the photographs. Most families invest £900-£1,500 in total, including their session, additional images, albums and wall art.

I’m Alina - a family photographer and mother working with families in Richmond.
I believe the photographs we live with should feel as honest as our memories. Having navigated early motherhood myself, I know how overwhelming the mental load of organising a session can feel. My aim is to carry the details for you — the styling, the preparation, the rhythm of the day — so you can let go of the planning and simply be present.
From enquiry to images on your wall

Send me a message and I’ll come back to you within 48 hours. Once you’re ready to go ahead, you’ll receive a booking link and a short questionnaire so I can get to know your family.
2. Plan together
We’ll have a virtual consultation to talk through timing, location, styling, and the overall feel. I’m always available on WhatsApp for questions in between.
3. Your session
On the day, we’ll take things as they come. No fixed plan - just calm, natural moments shaped around your family’s rhythm.
4. Your gallery
Within 30 days, your finished gallery will be ready. Choose your favourite images, upgrade your collection, or invest in artwork for your home.
5. Enjoy them forever
Long after the session, these photographs become part of your family’s story—lived with, returned to, and loved more with every passing year.
Richmond family photography FAQs
When should I book?
Family sessions can take place any time, but for sunset sessions in the warmer months, it’s worth getting in touch 2–3 months in advance to secure your preferred date.
When do sessions take place?
My outdoor family sessions in Richmond are shot at sunrise or sunset for the best light. Studio sessions run between 10am and 2pm. In-home sessions start at 10–11am for soft, natural light.
What should we wear?
Soft, neutral tones work best — think creams, whites, beige, soft grey. I’ll send you a styling guide after booking and you’re welcome to use pieces from my client wardrobe. The goal is for everyone to look cohesive without looking like you tried too hard.
What if my child won’t cooperate?
I’m a mum — I get it. The best approach is to let kids be kids. Running, twirling, snuggling into you, or having a quiet moment on their own — it’s all welcome. Sessions are designed to feel relaxed and natural, and some of the loveliest images happen in those in-between moments.
What if we need to reschedule?
If someone’s unwell, we’ll rearrange — no stress, no penalty. For outdoor sessions, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll find an alternative date or move the session to the studio. I’ll always keep an eye on the forecast and be in touch if we need a backup plan.
Where is the studio?
Apple Grove Studio is in St Margarets, Richmond (TW1), easily reached from Central London, West London, and Surrey. St Margarets, Twickenham, and Richmond stations are all within walking distance, and there’s private parking on site.
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes - travel within 45 minutes of the studio is included; beyond that a small travel fee may apply. I cover Richmond, Twickenham, St Margarets, Teddington, Kew, Barnes and West London, and I particularly love family sessions in the local parks at golden hour.
How do I book?
A £250 deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due three days before your session. Once you’ve booked, I’ll send over a welcome guide and questionnaire so I can get to know your family.
