Let’s capture your story - beautifully.
Newborn photography in West London and Surrey
THIS IS MORE THAN A PHOTOSHOOT
…it’s a moment to be together — and to remember how this season felt.
You’re entering a new season of life — tender, raw and deeply meaningful. My role is to step gently into it, capturing moments that feel honest and true to how this time really felt.
As a mother myself, I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming the early days can feel. That’s why every newborn session is calm, unhurried, and entirely baby-led — with space to pause, feed, cuddle, and settle as needed.
Whether we’re working in my natural light studio or in the comfort of your home, I create a supportive, considered space where you can simply be present — and come away with images that feel beautiful, personal, and full of feeling.
Where sessions take place
Newborn sessions can take place:
In my natural light garden studio in St Margarets, West London. It is designed for newborn sessions, with soft cream tones and gentle textures that create a warm, timeless feel.
There’s a curated studio wardrobe available, with beautiful pieces for mums and babies, so everything feels effortless and considered. This option is ideal if you’re drawn to a clean, neutral aesthetic and a calm, neutral setting away from home.In your home - in the comfort of your own space, capturing those early days exactly as they were. There’s no need for a perfect home — I’ll work with the light, the rooms you naturally use, and the moments that unfold.
If you’re unsure which setting is right, we’ll talk it through during your consultation, and choose what best suits your baby, your family, and how you’d like to remember this season.
From first message to final gallery
From our first conversation to the moment you receive your gallery, I’ll guide you every step of the way.
This includes:
Planning and location advice

A curated selection of timeless dresses and baby outfits available to borrow
Gentle direction during the session
A thoughtful, hands-on editing process
Sessions are never rushed or time-pressured. We move at your baby’s pace, with time to pause for feeding, settling, or simply taking a breath. I’ll be there to guide and support you as the session unfolds naturally, so there’s nothing you need to worry about or manage on the day.
“Our newborn photos brought tears to my eyes...
“As first-time parents, we were nervous and unsure of what to expect — but from the moment we met Alina, we felt completely at ease. She was so kind and gentle with our baby, caring for him with such tenderness it brought tears to my eyes when I saw the final gallery. The entire experience felt calm and unhurried, and her warmth made it feel more like a visit with a friend than a photo session. The photos she captured are so beautiful — we’ll treasure them forever.”

“ We loved the photos and the experience…
We had our newborn session with Alina at her home studio and the whole experience was so relaxed and comforting — exactly what we needed in those early days. As soon as we arrived, Alina’s warmth put us completely at ease. She’s incredibly experienced and gently guided us through everything while still listening to our ideas. Nothing felt posed or forced — we spent most of the time chatting while she captured the sweetest, most natural moments. We’re so in love with our gallery and couldn’t recommend her more.”

You'll not only enjoy significant savings but we'll also build a deeper connection. Getting to know you and your family over multiple sessions allows me to capture your genuine emotions and interactions beautifully at every stage.
She made me feel so comfortable during the maternity session, really listening to my vision for the shoot and helping me with outfit options. She let our baby take the lead during the newborn photos so he was calm and content throughout.
Alina gave just the right amount of guidance while still allowing space for natural, unposed moments — and captured so many beautiful, candid shots we’ll treasure forever. Seeing myself in the maternity photos gave me such a lift at a time when I didn’t quite feel like myself.”
— Melissa
“Alina did both my maternity and newborn shoots and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.
FAQs
When do I book?
Maternity sessions – The best time is usually between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable.
Newborn sessions – babies can be captured in all their fresh newness in the first 2–3 weeks, but there are no firm rules. If you’d rather wait a little longer, that’s absolutely fine too. If the baby is early or late, there’s always room for wiggling.
What time do the sessions take place?
In-home sessions – Start at 10-11 am, when your home is filled with soft, natural light.
Studio sessions – Between 10am and 2pm, when the light is best in the studio.
What if we need to reschedule?
If you or your baby are unwell, we can reschedule—no stress at all. Life happens, and I want you to feel your best and most comfortable for your session.
Where is your studio?
Apple Grove Studio is in St Margarets (TW1 postcode), easily accessible from Central and West London and Surrey. St Margarets, Twickenham and Richmond stations are all within walking distance. If you’re driving, there is a private car park at the studio.
Do you travel for sessions?
I offer in-home newborn sessions across London and love photographing families outdoors, especially in Richmond Park. Travel within 30 mins of the studio is included—beyond that, there may be a small travel fee.
What if my baby doesn’t settle / my child doesn’t behave?
Newborn sessions are completely baby-led. There’s no rush, no pressure—we take our time, with breaks for feeding, cuddles, and settling. If your baby needs extra comfort, we simply pause and go with their rhythm.
For older children, please don’t worry—I’m a mum myself and have plenty of experience with little ones. The best thing to do is let kids be kids. Some of the most beautiful moments happen in the in-between—when they’re running, twirling, snuggling into you, or even having a quiet moment on their own. Sessions are designed to feel relaxed and natural, so there’s no need to stress if your child is a little wild or shy. We’ll go with their flow and capture them exactly as they are.
Do you provide outfits?
Yes! I have a collection of soft, timeless pieces for mums, most of which are pregnancy and breastfeeding friendly. You’re welcome to use anything from my client wardrobe, and during your virtual consultation I also provide styling guidance so your whole family looks beautifully cohesive.
