MORE THAN A PHOTOSHOOT

A moment to pause, be together, and hold on to how this chapter felt.

The first weeks with your baby are tender, overwhelming, and gone in a heartbeat. I’m here to step gently into that season and give you images that feel honest — not staged, not perfect, just real.

As a mother myself, I know how vulnerable those early days can be. That’s why every session is calm, baby-led, and entirely unhurried — with space to feed, cuddle, and settle whenever you need to.

Whether we’re in my natural light studio in Richmond or in your home, you’ll have a supportive, considered space where you can simply be present — and walk away with photographs that feel warm, personal, and deeply yours.

The session experience

What a newborn session actually feels like

There’s no shot list. No stiff poses. No clock ticking in the background.

Instead, we follow your baby’s lead. I’ll gently shape the session around the real rhythm of your day: the way your baby curls into your chest, the quiet moment between feeds, the look that passes between you and your partner when no one else is watching.

The result is a collection of images that feel calm, intimate, and unmistakably yours — something you’ll reach for long after these early days have passed.

Newborn photoshoot Twickenham

We loved the photos and the experience…

Alina was amazing with our toddler and just seemed to know how to manage his energy without making it a ‘thing’. Everything worked so naturally around our baby’s feeds and naps, and nothing ever felt rushed.

When we saw the images, we were honestly blown away. They’re just incredible - they feel so us, so warm, and full of love. We will treasure them forever”

— Michelle, Kingston-upon-Thames

BEHIND THE CAMERA

I’m Alina - a photographer and mother working with families in London.

I believe the photographs we live with should feel as honest as our memories. Having navigated early motherhood myself, I know how overwhelming the mental load of organising a session can feel. My aim is to carry the details for you — the styling, the preparation, the rhythm of the day — so you can let go of the planning and simply be present.

CONSIDERING A MATERNITY PHOTOSHOOT? I OFFER £100 OFF WHEN YOU BOOK BOTH MATERNITY AND NEWBORN SESSIONS

Two sessions means I get to know you and your family before your baby arrives—so by the time we meet for the newborn shoot, you’ll feel completely at ease, and I’ll already understand how to capture your family at its most natural.

Maternity photoshoot London

She made me feel so comfortable during the maternity session, really listening to my vision for the shoot and helping me with outfit options. She let our baby take the lead during the newborn photos so he was calm and content throughout.

Alina gave just the right amount of guidance while still allowing space for natural, unposed moments — and captured so many beautiful, candid shots we’ll treasure forever. Seeing myself in the maternity photos gave me such a lift at a time when I didn’t quite feel like myself.

— Melissa

Alina did both my maternity and newborn shoots and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

FAQs

When should I book?

Most families book after their 20-week scan to secure availability around their due date. The first 2–3 weeks are lovely for those really sleepy, curled-up newborn images — but honestly, babies up to three months photograph beautifully too. If you need more time to recover, or things just don't go to plan, there's no rush. We'll find the right moment for your family.

What if my baby won’t settle?

Completely normal, completely fine. Sessions are baby-led with built-in time for feeds, cuddles, and settling. We simply pause and follow their rhythm—some of the most beautiful images happen in those quiet in-between moments.

Can siblings or grandparents join? Absolutely. I love including older siblings and close family — it makes the session feel more like real life. Toddlers do their own thing (which is completely fine), and grandparent shots are always a favourite.

How do I prepare for the session?

Very little. I'll send you a short prep guide closer to the date with a few small practical things — like switching to plain bed sheets if we're shooting at home — but nothing that takes more than a few minutes. Feed the baby, keep the house warm, and leave the rest to me.

When do sessions take place?

Sessions start at 10–11am for the best natural light.

Where is the studio?

Apple Grove Studio is in St Margarets (TW1), easily reached from Central London, West London, and Surrey. St Margarets, Twickenham, and Richmond stations are all within walking distance, and there’s private parking on site.

Do you travel for in-home sessions?

Yes—travel within 30 minutes of the studio is included. Beyond that, a small travel fee may apply.

What should we wear? You don't need to overthink it. Soft, neutral tones work best — think creams, whites, browns, soft grey. I'll send you styling suggestions after booking and you're welcome to use pieces from my client wardrobe too. The goal is for everything to feel cohesive without looking like you tried too hard.

Do you provide outfits?

Yes. I have a curated collection of soft, timeless pieces for mums (most are pregnancy and breastfeeding friendly) and babies. During your consultation, I’ll also share styling guidance so your whole family looks beautifully cohesive.

How do I book? A £250 deposit secures your date, with the remaining balance due before your session. Once you've booked, I'll send over a welcome guide and questionnaire so I can start getting to know your family.

What if we need to reschedule?

Life with a newborn is unpredictable. If you or baby are unwell, we’ll reschedule—no stress, no penalty.
