THIS IS MORE THAN A PHOTOSHOOT

It’s a pause to see yourself the way your children see you.

You’re the one holding everything together. The feeds, the bedtimes, the quiet 3am moments nobody else sees. These sessions are about pausing long enough to see yourself clearly — not as the person managing it all, but as the mother your children know.

My motherhood sessions are calm, gentle, and led by real connection. Whether your baby is weeks old or your children are running circles around you, I’ll capture the closeness, the tenderness, and the small details that make this chapter yours.

Older siblings are welcome too — some of the loveliest images come from those unscripted moments between you and your children.

“I keep going back to look at the photos…

This session with Alina felt so easy. I loved the studio — everything was taken care of. I borrowed something gorgeous from the wardrobe, turned up, and that was it. Even when my baby was being uncooperative, it didn't matter. There was no stress, no rush.

I didn't have to worry about how things looked or whether we were doing it "right."

The photos are honestly some of the most beautiful I've ever seen of us. They caught something I don't normally notice — the love, the closeness, this tiny window of being her mum. I keep going back to look at them.

Three beautiful settings. One priority: you.

In my natural light studio — St Margarets, West London

Soft cream tones, beautiful light, and a curated wardrobe ready for you. The studio is a favourite for motherhood sessions — it’s private, calm, and everything is taken care of.

Your home

The nursery, the bed you share, the morning light through the kitchen window. In-home sessions capture motherhood inside the life you’re actually living.

Outdoors at golden hour

Richmond Park, Bushy Park, or a spot that’s meaningful to you. That warm, low light makes everything feel cinematic — and children love having space to move.

Not sure which is right for you? We’ll talk it through during your consultation and choose what feels best.

Have questions first? Get in touch

“Like so many mums, I'm usually the one behind the camera. I have thousands of photos of my husband with the kids, but almost none of myself with them — and the few I do have are usually rushed or taken on a phone.

This session with Alina felt completely different. For once, I could just be present with my children instead of trying to capture everything myself. I didn't have to think about anything and could just be with them. Alina took care of everything.

They are some of the most meaningful images I have. I'm so grateful to have them — not just for myself, but for my children one day.

FAQs

How is this different from a family session?

A family session includes your whole family — partner, children, everyone. A motherhood session puts the focus on you with your baby and children. It’s more intimate, more personal, and designed to capture the connection between you and your little ones.

How old should my baby be?

There’s no perfect age. Motherhood sessions work beautifully with three-months old babies (for younger newborns, I recommend booking a longer newborn session), curious six-month-olds, busy toddlers, and older children. Whatever stage you’re at, we’ll shape the session around it.

Can my older children join?

Absolutely. Some of the loveliest images come from those unscripted sibling moments — a toddler climbing onto your lap, an older child leaning into you. It’s all welcome.

What should I wear?

Soft, neutral tones work best. I’ll share styling guidance after booking, and you’re welcome to use pieces from my client wardrobe. The goal is for you to feel comfortable and beautiful without overthinking it.

What if we need to reschedule?

If someone’s unwell, we’ll rearrange — no stress, no penalty. For outdoor sessions, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll find an alternative date or move the session to the studio. I’ll always keep an eye on the forecast and be in touch if we need a backup plan.

Where is the studio?

Apple Grove Studio is in St Margarets (TW1), easily reached from Central London, West London, and Surrey. St Margarets, Twickenham, and Richmond stations are all within walking distance, and there’s private parking on site.

How do I book?

A £250 booking fee secures your date, with the remaining balance due three days before your session. Once you’ve booked, I’ll send over a welcome guide and questionnaire so I can start getting to know you.

Can we include breastfeeding or skin-to-skin moments?

I'd love to — some of my favourite motherhood images are breastfeeding and skin-to-skin moments. They're tender, powerful, and so fleeting. But there's absolutely no pressure. It's entirely up to you, and we'll only include what you're comfortable with. We can talk it through beforehand so you know exactly what to expect.
