You’re carrying a new chapter of your life, and my role is to document it with tenderness and intention.
My maternity work blends a warm, film-inspired aesthetic with gentle editorial direction — creating a space where you can relax, feel beautiful, and simply be present. Every session is shaped around your story, with styling guidance, soft prompts, and enough time for everything to feel natural.
Whether we’re in the golden light of Richmond Park, my natural light studio, or the comfort of your home, your gallery will be warm, honest, and full of feeling — a love letter to this chapter and everything it holds.
“My maternity shoot was nothing short of magical..
It felt like a moment to pause and really connect with my baby before. Being out in Richmond park, surrounded by golden light, was so peaceful. Alina was incredibly kind and made me feel completely at ease from the start. The outfits she brought were beautiful and made me feel so confident. I’ll always treasure the images from that evening - they captured this special time in the most beautiful way.”
— Cassie, St Margarets

She made me feel so comfortable during the maternity session, really listening to my vision for the shoot and helping me with outfit options. She let our baby take the lead during the newborn photos so he was calm and content throughout.
Alina gave just the right amount of guidance while still allowing space for natural, unposed moments — and captured so many beautiful, candid shots we’ll treasure forever. Seeing myself in the maternity photos gave me such a lift at a time when I didn’t quite feel like myself.”
— Melissa, Kew
“Alina did both my maternity and newborn shoots and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

BEHIND THE CAMERA
I’m Alina - a photographer and mother working with families in London.
I believe the photographs we live with should feel as honest as our memories. Having navigated early motherhood myself, I know how overwhelming the mental load of organising a session can feel. My aim is to carry the details for you — the styling, the preparation, the rhythm of the day — so you can let go of the planning and simply be present.
Continue your story with a newborn session
Many of my maternity clients return once their baby arrives — not simply for convenience, but for continuity.
Many of my maternity clients come back once their baby arrives — not just for convenience, but for continuity. Having already worked together, I’ll understand your style, your pace, and what matters most to you. That familiarity means the newborn session feels calm and seamless, with images that sit naturally alongside your maternity photographs.

“ I was thrilled with the images and with the experience…
By some small miracle, Alina was able to fit me in relatively last minute and I am SO pleased we could make it work. From booking to receiving the final gallery I couldn’t have asked for better. This is my first pregnancy (and first maternity shoot) so I had no idea what to expect and was a little nervous but Alina made me feel so comfortable straight away. The shoot itself was so fun and I loved the range of outfits Alina had, and I appreciated that she made some of my own outfits work too. When I received my images, I was thrilled. They were even better than I expected, and I can’t wait to frame the prints I ordered to celebrate such a magical time. Couldn’t recommend Alina at Apple Grove Studio more, and I hope to book in with her in the future with baby girl once she’s arrived!”

FAQs
When should I book?
The best time for a maternity session is usually between 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable. That said, every pregnancy is different — if you’re earlier or later, we’ll make it work.
When do sessions take place?
Outdoor sessions are shot at sunrise or sunset for the most beautiful light. Studio sessions run between 10am and 2pm. In-home sessions start at 10–11am for soft, natural light.
What should I wear?
You don’t need to overthink it. I have a curated collection of beautiful maternity pieces (most are pregnancy and breastfeeding friendly), and during your consultation I’ll share styling guidance so everything feels cohesive. You’re welcome to bring your own outfits too.
Can my partner or children join?
Absolutely. I love including partners and older children — it makes the session feel more like real life. Toddlers do their own thing (which is completely fine), and some of the loveliest images happen in those unscripted family moments.
What if we need to reschedule?
If you’re not feeling well, we’ll rearrange — no stress, no penalty. For outdoor sessions, if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll find an alternative date or move the session to the studio. I’ll always keep an eye on the forecast and be in touch if we need a backup plan.
Where is the studio?
Apple Grove Studio is in St Margarets (TW1), easily reached from Central London, West London, and Surrey. St Margarets, Twickenham, and Richmond stations are all within walking distance, and there’s private parking on site.
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes — travel within 30 minutes of the studio is included. Beyond that, a small travel fee may apply. I particularly love shooting in Richmond Park at golden hour.
How do I book?
A £250 booking fee secures your date, with the remaining balance due three days before your session. Once you’ve booked, I’ll send over a welcome guide and questionnaire so I can start getting to know you.
